A virtual study room for you and your friends

Join a pod, start your timer, and see who else is studying right now. No cameras, no calls, no strangers.

Studova is a free virtual study room: you make a private pod, friends join with an invite code, and everyone's live study timer shows up side by side. There are no cameras and no video calls. You see who is studying, on what subject, and how long they have gone today.

A study room works because studying feels easier when you can see other people doing it. Studova gives you that in a browser tab, so you can keep your notes open and still see that your friends are working too.

How a pod works as a study room

Make a pod and share its invite code or QR card. Your friends sign up, which is free and needs no card, and join with the code. A pod holds up to 100 people, so a friend group or a whole class fits.

Inside the pod you see each member's live status: studying right now with their subject, on a break, or done for the day. Today's study time is ranked on a daily leaderboard. You can nudge a friend who has not started, and chat with @mentions.

No cameras, no strangers

A study room does not have to be a video call. In Studova you never turn on a camera or share your screen. Friends see a live timer and a subject, which is enough to know you are working.

Pods are invite-only, so the people in your room are the ones you gave the code to. Pod members see your name, whether you are studying, your subject and your total for today. Your session list and journal stay private to you.

Join from any device

Studova runs in any browser, so friends on a laptop, a phone or a Chromebook can sit in the same pod with nothing to install. There is an Android app too, and iPhone works in Safari.

Start your timer when you sit down and your friends see it go live. Add rain, brown noise, white noise or lo-fi sounds to cover the room, and use the browser extension to block distracting sites while the timer runs.
